Ever notice how a CB2 catalog is a lot like a home interiors magazine? The roomscapes are always stunning enough to merit a spread in House Beautiful. This week’s Got Mail features some of the photos and my picks from among NEW products in the CB2 January 2017 lookbook.

The vignette says boho modern chic in no uncertain terms, thanks not to the martini-at-the-ready but to that patterned pillow that, in my mind, steals the show.

It’s called the
Cusco Pillow and is inspired by intricately woven and embroidered Peruvian textiles. The 16-inch pillow is stitched in a wool, cotton, and polyester blend, backed in solid ivory cotton, and includes your choice of a feather-down or polyester insert for the $49.95 price.

The
Bird Basket Side Table is a rare bird indeed and a quirky addition to any boho home. A long-legged metal base supports a nest-like sculpted basket perfectly sized for mail, magazines, a book, your glasses—whatever you need to enhance your own comfy nesting instincts. Handcrafted of iron, it sells for $129.
At that price, I just may put this one on MY wish list!

At 18 inches in diameter and standing 9 inches high, the
Button Pompon Basket (left) is crafted from black abaca and sports natural raffia pompons that will appeal to any boho mama’s sense of boo-yah, especially for just $59.95. And that
Grey-and-White Ikat Basket (right) may bring out the snake charmer in you. But at 22 inches in diameter and 13.5 inches high, it will also hold blankets, towels, magazines, and even toys. It’s woven of rattan around a galvanized iron frame and sells for $69.95.

The
Joya Multi-Color Basket (left), also at $69.95, is handwoven from a muted rainbow of abaca twine, measures 15 inches in diameter, and stands 14.75 inches high. Each strand is hand-dyed then carefully woven together. A rolled top edge and slightly starched sides show off the craftsmanship.

The
Yuzo Baskets (above right) remind me a little of stick figures, with their stitched bamboo over iron construction. The black one, at 16 inches in diameter and 9 inches high, sells for $44.95, while the natural one, at 15.75 inches diameter and 15.25 inches high, sells for $49.95.
All baskets featured are handmade in the Philippines, except the Yuzo baskets, which are handmade in Indonesia.
As mentioned before, one of the best things about the CB2 lookbook is the ideas it gives you about styling your space. How about a basket tower with the look of a modern sculpture, like the one from the lookbook at left?
Use baskets you already own or buy some of the beauties featured here, then stack them as high as you dare. Leave empty for more of a minimalist look, or fill with colorful books, throws, pillows, or yarn if you're a boho maximalist like me.
All spread out
While you're at it, go absolutely gaga with me over the
Shirley Table Runner (below). Its petal-perfect span of colorful, abstract florals has my midcentury modern motor absolutely MEOWING.
The pattern is printed on a textured cotton/linen blend that's machine washable. It measures a full 90 inches long and 14 inches across to fit most any table and sells for $39.95.

...that is, if you can BEAR to cover up that to-die-for textured top (right). Named after ancient Roman aqueducts by Milan-based Euga Design Studio, this table is covered in an uninterrupted layer of high-gloss burl veneer. The top measures 72 inches by 36 inches, and it’s priced at only $699.
Sitting pretty
Speaking of orange (and these days I often am, what with the weird color of the president-elect's hair), how about the

Va-va-va-vrroom! Designed by James Harrison, the cotton/polyester velvet upholstery tops a larch and engineered wood frame and sinuous wire suspension. The seating width is 68 inches, the overall sofa width is 76.5 inches, and the price is $1,299. Order now to reserve yours when the sofa ships in April.

Sleeping tight
Wow! All that decorating wore me out. Luckily, CB2 has some new beds I’m longing to sink into.

First up is the
Jarvis Bed, sold with or without the leather pad that fits against the head. Another piece designed by James Harrison, the bed is fashioned from rubberwood and comes in queen and king sizes, priced at $1,299 and $1,499, respectively. The cognac leather bolster backed in a poly-fabric is an additional $600 or $800, depending on size. Its spindle headboard reminds me of a windsor-backed chair, which means it will work in modern or traditional settings.

Or get that midcentury-mod-studio-couch
look for your la-la-land sanctuary with the
Drommen Acacia Bed. Its cognac leather headboard and exposed acacia frame are
